ESHIELS GUNDOGS

Well with the shooting season underway my dogs are ready and cannot wait to get started. The monthly training days have been a great success. The individuals that have visited the last few months have now got their dogs steady, retrieving to hand, and looking for direction. This Sunday past we had two walked up practise runs on dummies were all the dog and handlers had great success. There are still lessons to be learnt; one of them being the handler must mark the dummy correctly to be able to direct their dog. All the dogs are gaining confidence and this can be seen in their turn of pace and willingness to succeed.

The next training day at the of September I will increase the level of difficulty by increasing distances, introducing blinds for the more advanced. By December I will be putting on a working test, so all the owners can compete against each other with me being judge.
